Rev. James Jih 

Rev. James Jih immigrated to the US in 1973 and have been residing in California. He felt that his life was boring, so he often went to church for a good time and came to know the Lord, and met his beautiful wife Melinda, the two of them were married in 1986. They have a daughter and a son. Pastor Jih has a masters degree in Educational Psychology. After obtaining his Master of Divinity in 1993 from Southern Baptist Golden Gate Seminary, he has been learning and serving at church. In 1998, god led him and more than 20 brothers and sisters; together they founded the Tree of Life Christian Church. Pastor Jih’s heart is to become one of the leaves of the tree of life, so that he may pass on His healing and love to people, for God healed him so that he may have a healthy life to serve.  

Minister Andrew Bywaters

Andrew was born on April 16, 1969 in Redwood City, CA.  He Graduated from Occidental College with a degree in Philosophy in 1991, where he became a Christian. After graduating, IAndrew worked two years as an office manager while serving part-time as staff worker for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in Southern California, and then spent three more years full-time with InterVarsity. For six years Andrew served in Taiwan as a missionary before returning to the Bay Area in 2003 to help plant a church. Andrew will graduate with an M.Div from Fuller Theological Seminary in June of 2008, and have been interning with Tree of Life church since July of last year. Andrew currently live with his wife of seven years, Angela, in Milpitas, CA, and look forward to continuing with Tree of Life for the forseeable future.

Minister Linmen Chen 

Linmen's background is in medical social work and social services. Before her retirement, she worked for the social service agency of Santa Clara County. She served in various Chinese churches for more than 20 years, and in 2001 she took an early retirement so she could fully engaged in ministry in TOL.  At that time, she felt the Lord told her to learn to serve people, so she started her "training" as a cell group leader, then a zone supervisor, learning first hand that God's priority in ministry is building people up through loving each other via relationship building according to biblical truth.  

In 2004, Linmen felt that the Lord was guiding her to start the next phase of equipping in the seminary and she enrolled in Fuller Theological Seminary, Northern California. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Theology. Her main ministry in TOL at this moment is in the areas of teaching and intercession.

Minister Agnes Hoang  

Agnes is a Children ministry pastor –on call all the time.  After she came to know the Lord in 1983, she has been serving in Children ministry until this day, she learned and was equipped, she knows in her heart that she practically grow up in the Children’s ministry. Thinking back to the past, her spiritual life would be expanded every few years. In 1991, for the first time she accepted the challenge of being the principal of the Children’s Sunday SchoolIn 1998, she and other coworkers started the ministry of TOL, and one year after 2005 when she officially offered herself to full time ministry, she started her theological studies and obtained Master’s degree in Biblical Studies in 2008 from Harvest Theological Seminary. Pastor Agnes and brother Jonathan have one son and one daughter, they joyfully serve God in one accord.
